Maple and Brown Sugar Bacon
Ingredients
12 to 16 ounces thick-cut bacon
4 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons maple syrup
instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and place a cooling rack on top so the bacon fat can drip through onto the foil. Then oil the cooling rack.
Lay the strips of bacon over the cooling rack.
Microwave the brown sugar and maple syrup in a microwave-safe bowl until the brown sugar is melted into the syrup and bubbly.
Brush the mixture evenly over the front and back of the bacon strips.
Bake for about 15-20 minutes.
Take out of the oven and enjoy!
Notes
If after the 15-20 minute cooking time, the bacon is still not crispy, preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and cook until Bacon is browned and caramelized), don’t pour bacon grease down the drain! Wait until it cools and scoop it into the trash, or save it for a later use.
